I am an Indian-born German woman who has spent almost three decades building my professional and family life in Germany, while remaining deeply connected to India.

India gave me my roots — family, relationships, culture, festivals, community, nature and a deep sense of belonging. Germany gave me an excellent education, a strong professional environment, discipline, efficiency and the opportunity to build a fulfilling career while raising a family. I never saw these as competing worlds. I chose to embrace the strengths of both. Over the years, Indian values and German professional and leadership culture have naturally become part of who I am, and I have raised my children with respect for both heritages — their cultures, values and different ways of thinking.

Integration is not about giving up one identity for another. It is about having the confidence to carry both.

With more than 25 years at Robert Bosch GmbH, I have grown from engineering and technology into quality, digital innovation and, today, AI governance and responsible innovation. My work sits at the intersection of technology, regulation and human responsibility — translating regulatory expectations, including the EU AI Act, into practical approaches that enable organisations to innovate responsibly.

Governance should not stand in the way of innovation. Done well, it creates the foundation for trusted and sustainable innovation.

As my family enters a new phase, I see the larger society as an extension of my family. I want to use my experience purposefully — sharing what has worked, learning from what has not, connecting people and creating opportunities for others to grow.

I have come to believe that when women and children thrive, families and communities thrive. Women who move across countries and cultures carry multiple responsibilities while building their professional and social identities. Young people, too, navigate language, education, culture and identity as they grow between worlds. Supporting them is an investment in stronger families and communities. This belief became the foundation of iShakthi.

iShakthi grew from decades of quiet and committed community engagement. It is rooted in a simple belief:

Inspired by Bharatiya values and the spirit of the Bhagavad Gita, iShakthi has evolved from nearly three decades of community engagement into a platform for leadership and community development — strengthening Indian diaspora families and creating opportunities for the next generation. The focus is not simply on what I can do, but on what we can enable others to do: transforming experience into contribution, relationships into community and opportunity into impact.
